Food Inc. Review
For those of you who haven't seen food inc. I think you should it is a real eye opener to the food industry and it delves deep into what the leading food compagnies don't what you to see. For me, it was shocking, like chickens stuck in domelike coops without anysunlight and only able to take a few steps than fall because they can't support their own weight. The conditions are terrible surrounded by their own feces would suck for anyone like I wouldn't want to eat a chicken if all it did for its whole life was sit in it's own poop, thats kinda gross. These food compagnies are keeping us all in the dark they hide the ugly truth from everyone because really who wants to hear that all these animals are mistreated or that whenever there is a disease contamination in some meat they will keep sealing it until someone powerful takes a stand and forces them to recall. Children have died because of a simple cheese burger or a harmless chicken nugget and really to the big food industries it doesnt matter to them all they care about is the money and it sickens me. I don't think anyone realizes what is in the food we eat, it is so piled high with chemicals that if we did know it would churn our stomachs. Even allergies i think we can stop blaming it on the food but how the food was grown, the DNA of the food isnt the same all mixed with chemicals until it is unrecongnizable. Food now and food back at the beginning of the 1900 probably wouldn't even taste remotely the same.
Food Philosophy
So I thought I'd tell you guys what food means to me, I mean yah it keeps you alive but really if you think about it, if done properly, food can be an art, a beautiful creation that can wow crowds. I mean a an average person can look at a bunch of food and go "ew those are gross" but a great chef can take a look at the same ingredients and go "i can work with these" and the product is a master piece. Even something small like roasting fruit and adding to a dessert or a making a glaze that can completly change the flavor and make something that some people think that is small memerable. So i guess what I'm trying to say is that food is what you make of it, it can be great and creative and exciting or it can be something boring but in my opinion the adventure of making something all your own is worth the bumps in the road.
